Ongoing Exhibits: Alexander Julian Comes Home: From Franklin Street to Franklin Street

Alexander Julian comes home to the Chapel Hill Museum with a permanent exhibit.

Alexander Julian has spent the last three decades making an indelible mark on men's and women's fashion, home furnishings, and popular sports with his distinctive flair for opulent textures, superior craftsmanship, and marvelous color.

In celebration of Julian's beginnings as one of Chapel Hill's most favorite sons, this exhibit at the Chapel Hill Museum is a permanent installation that includes his colorful Chapel Hill youth along with the milestones met in his professional career.

A five-time Coty Award winner and youngest inductee to the Fashion Hall of Fame, Julian's textile designs are in the Smithsonian National Design Museum's permanent collection.

You can also find his work at his family's shop on Franklin Street.
