Our spring education program addresses the North Carolina history component of the 4th grade curriculum. Children learn and perform a five-scene reenactment of Paul Green's symphonic drama, The Lost Colony.

In the winter of 2005, the Chapel Hill Museum Education Committee, co-Chaired by Kamie Edwards and Jane Pickens, was awarded the North Carolina Governor's Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service. The Chapel Hill Museum community, staff and Board of Trustees are very proud of this state-wide recognition of the Museum's successful education programs.
